Ka is the force that leads all living (and unliving) creatures, it is the equivilant of destiny, yet not. It is the force that causes a destiny to happen, and is impossible to surpass. In the series Roland and the Ka-tet of 19 and 99 are themselves above Ka, they force it to their will. Ka is anything and everything. the word Ka-Tet and many more. Ka was supposedly derived from Karma, but has no reliable confirmations.
